About Us

Kitt Technologies (Pty)® Ltd is a South African mobility platform with an objective to encourage responsible behaviour and provide an easily accessible service to consumers to request a driver, when unable to drive own vehicle.

We help save lives and save consumers money and time.  KITT® also assist with job creation, providing an opportunity to many drivers to earn a reliable income, irrespective of whether they have a Professional Driving Permit (PDP) License.  Buddy Drivers will not be driving Clients/Users and therefore do not require a PDP.

Our Model and Core Service

KITT® Drivers will provide a chauffeur service, by using the Users own vehicle. Drivers will subscribe as contractors and will not be full time employees of KITT®. Each Driver will be paired with a buddy driver, to collect the Driver at the User’s drop off point (destination), ready for the next User Request for a Driver (chauffeur service). Buddy drivers will not be driving any Users, therefore do not require any PDP. This model and approach will create more job opportunities, therefore reducing unemployment. The core service offering of KITT® will be the provision of a Driver for Users/Consumers. KITT® will be providing Users with a Request-a-Driver service (the App providing features, functionality and services in a similar way that e-hailing companies like Uber is working). The service will be available via a Mobile App, both iOS and Android. KITT® Drivers will provide a chauffeur service, by using the Users own vehicle. The user will select the driver by indicating the pickup and drop-off location. There will be a Buddy Driver who shall accept the request from the user.

The Responsible Choice

South African consumers, irrespective of their Living Standards Measure (LSM) continue to buy their own vehicles. Their lifestyle, behaviour and preference include the following:

  • Enjoy social life that includes afternoon/lunch activities at wine farms and other popular venues, dinning at restaurants, late evening parties and hospitality events – all that involves the consumption of alcohol
  • Irrespective of type and cost of vehicle, the preference is to always make use of own vehicle (it’s a feel-good and in some instances perhaps a show-off to arrive in own vehicle)
  • Many have failed on agreeing upfront to be the dedicated driver and committing to not consume any alcohol for the evening
  • Most consumers are unlikely and/or unwilling to leave their vehicle behind at a venue (when over the legal alcohol consumption limit) and having difficulty to then collect the vehicle again
  • Some still risk (take a chance) to drive under the influence of alcohol (risking both their own life and the lives of others)
KITT® provides an easily accessible and responsible alternative via a mobile App, that answers the problem statements. Consumers have the ability, via a process of ordering a Driver via virtual devices (Mobile App).
